Making memories

If we decided to go numb, how would that help us?
Apathy could hardly be called “friend”
It never calls back, never comforts when you’re lonely
And highlights the cracks that we would like to mend
So we care too much, so we’re vulnerable
We’ll do just enough to make it bearable
And more: we try to be at ease
With making memories
Could we do without the guilt, oh it would soothe us
Breathing without an elephant on our chests
‘cause there’s always more to do, and more to share
And more time to spend somewhere else
Somewhere more meaningful
But could we settle for less, please?
So we care too much, so we’re vulnerable
We’ll do just enough to make it bearable
And more: we try to be at ease
Just making memories

Right here
03:28
|
|||
In another galaxy
Somewhere far away from me
I know where we would be:
Right here
No matter bitter times, they’ll turn sweeter over time
Our intentions, empty gestures, right here
In the meantime we will be right here, where we’re supposed to be
Fighting our mortality and chance
In another galaxy
Somewhere far away from me
I know where we would be:
Right here
If there’s something parallel, I take it you’d be there as well
For life without you would be hell, this one’s hard enough
So just breathe, just breathe, it’ll do, it will be enough
So just breathe, just breathe, it’ll do, it will be enough

Stranger
04:16
|

Is it okay if I’d cry in your arms tonight?
Would it be okay if I’d melt?
‘Cause there’s a lot of world out there
and a lot of me I kept for myself
And I don’t know if I can trust you
But if I don’t I will explode
So to hell with all I think that is right for me to be
and let go
So tonight I’ll be a stranger, and strong in ways that you’ve never known
You might have waited for me to open up like this for ages, I don’t know
And I don’t know if I can trust you, but if I don’t I know I will explode
So tonight I’ll be a stranger
Is it okay if I’d cry in your arms tonight?
Would it be okay if I’d melt?
‘Cause there’s a lot of world out there
and a lot of me I kept for myself
So I guess I’ll have to trust you,
shed my skin and go out, face the cold
And to hell with all I think that is right for me to be
and let go
So tonight I’ll be a stranger, and strong in ways that you’ve never known
You might have waited for me to open up like this for ages, I don’t know
And I don’t know if I can trust you, but if I don’t I know I will explode
So tonight I’ll be a stranger

A breathing exercise
03:12
|
|||
It’s not that hard, you just got to keep breathing
And if you don’t it all will end
Run all you like, go spank your lungs
And fire up your memories
Don’t hold your breath waiting to get what you want
You’re immortal ‘till,
You’re immortal ‘till you’re not
And then other life forms will take over
Other life forms will take over

We deserve more
03:47
|
|||
We know how much trouble love is
We tried to fail so hard, but it’s no use
It’s like a lovely addiction to have our hearts scarred and bruised
Yet we could use some more love
We deserve some more
You’re never fighting against me
We just battle the fact that we are thrown
Too close together, and share the air that we need to breathe
Yet we could use some more
We deserve some more love
Yes, we could use some more, love
